NORTHBRIDGE PIAZZA VERTICAL GARDEN

This native plant vertical garden spans 2 huge structures in the centre of Northbridge, bringing nature into a much used public space.

Northbridge Piazza is a place where people can sit and relax on a large area of lawn, surrounded by trees, and enjoy a little quiet, surrounded by hubbub.

Film nights on the large screen, coupled with food for sale, and a great ambience, attract many families and people out to enjoy free outdoor movies and entertainment, and the large vertical garden enhances the experience.

This vertical garden is comprised of blocks of planted modular components, interspersed with mesh for climbers to ascend.

Native plants have been used, as the garden receives a great deal of sunlight and heat in Summer time, and these plants can withstand the harsh environment in which it is situated.

The vertical garden is reminiscent of a building with industrial sharp lines, softened with foliage and colour, bringing plants and nature into the city sky scape.

Even though this garden was a challenge to install due to its immense size and height, Deep Green delivered on installation and design
