Forbes Residences offers a new vision for high-density living, where landscape is central to both resident experience and architectural identity. Deep Green was engaged to deliver the landscape construction across podiums, sky gardens, courtyards, and the surrounding public realm, creating a layered, garden-rich environment that complements the riverside setting.
Lush green spaces are integrated throughout the development, from elevated podiums to recurring sky gardens. These vertical green pockets provide shared outdoor areas, promote neighbourly interaction, and offer visual relief from the urban environment. Planting focuses on climate-resilient native and Mediterranean-adapted species, providing texture, seasonal variation, and biodiversity while minimising water use and ongoing maintenance.
Sustainability was embedded throughout the project. Water-efficient irrigation systems, drought-tolerant planting, and careful soil management ensure long-term performance and environmental responsibility. Recycled materials and waste reduction practices during construction further enhanced the project’s sustainability outcomes.
Deep Green’s construction team delivered meticulous detailing across planting, paving, and structural elements. Advanced nursery stock was carefully installed and supported with staged irrigation to ensure vigorous, long-term plant growth. The result is a resilient, low-maintenance landscape that remains visually striking and functional across multiple levels.
At ground level, the landscape contributes to a welcoming entry experience and extends greenery into the public realm. Combined with the podium and sky gardens, the project creates a vertical village atmosphere—offering residents a tranquil, garden-rich lifestyle while softening the building’s profile within Applecross.
